Suzuki Fleet for Nation's Leading Superbike School
17/11/2006 Suzuki Australia and the California Superbike School have announced details of an exciting new partnership which will see the nation's leading Superbike school equipped with an extensive fleet of 32 brand new GSX-R sportsbikes. Contracting Suzuki as the exclusive motorcycle supplier for the California Superbike School, the county's premier rider training organisation will stock 22 new 2007-model GSX-R600's for course participants to hire at either Phillip Island or Eastern Creek. Providing coaching staff with the additional horsepower they require, the 10-strong instructor fleet will include eight of the latest model GSX-R750's and two GSX-R1000 machines. In addition, trading as Phillip Island Ride days and Eastern Creek Ride Days, the company will utilise the fleet of GSX-R600 models for hire at ride day events at Victoria and New South Wales' leading circuits. Suzuki Australia's National Marketing Manager - Motorcycles, Glyn Griffiths is enthusiastic about Suzuki's partnership with the California Superbike School. "The original GSX-R revolutionised the motorcycle world and is still the foremost performance motorcycle range, and embodies its slogan Own the Racetrack," Glyn Griffiths said. "Securing the contract to be the sole supplier of motorcycles to the Australian branch of the renowned California Superbike School speaks volumes about the quality and performance of the Suzuki GSX-R range. "The California Superbike School is vastly experienced and will provide tips on how riders can get the best out of these race-bred Suzukis in a safe controlled environment. "Making these GSX-R600's available for track use at Phillip Island and Eastern Creek Ride Days is great opportunity for riders to experience the thrill of a GSX-R as it was built to be experienced - on the racetrack." California Superbike School's Steve Brouggy is delighted at the prospect of delivering expert Superbike tuition using the fleet of Suzuki GSX-R performance sportsbikes. "We're very excited about introducing our huge, brand new fleet of GSX-R machines," Steve Brouggy said. "We chose Suzuki exclusively to supply our fleet of training bikes because the GSX-R's outstanding performance and handling package makes them the ideal machine to provide rider training on the racetrack. "Initially, we will use GSX-R's exclusively for our California Superbike School tuition and for riders to hire at Eastern Creek and Phillip Island Ride Days events. "In the long term, this relationship with Suzuki opens up a range of mutually beneficial possibilities for the future, both on and off the racetrack."
