Yessss, he got that one right , but then again maybe he stole it from the bonnieville salt plains. I dont know . Whats in the name i wonder . One thing for sure though , there is something just not right with " america the beautiful" - damn if it isn't hard to say thay that.

Thruxton

The modern Thruxton is named after the 1965 Bonneville Thruxton, a factory race bike of which only 68 were made. That bike was named after the Thruxton race track in England. Also Velocette have a Thruxton too.  John Bloor bought the naming rights of Triumph models of the past. FYI the Rocket 3 was a BSA

The Bonnieville is named after the Salt Plains, well the speed trials conducted on them, after Triumph broke a land speed record the year before the Bonnie was released.
